TIMES SQUARE: Restaurant Fire Send Smoke Into The Streets at 11-Story High Rise

APARTMENT FIRE LEAVES SEVERAL INJURED AT CROSSROADS OF THE WORLD

NEW YORK, NEW YORK (February 27, 2017) – A high rise fire at the Crossroads at the World left at least two people injured, according to NBC New York.

The restaurant appeared to be completely wiped out following the fire. It remains unclear exactly what happened.

Smoke from the fire poured out into the streets. Authorities from the Office of Emergency Management told people to stay inside in order to avoid exposure from the smoke.

The fire also spread to a building behind the one that caught on fire on 48th-street. At least one person in the building and another fire fighter had to be treated for smoke related injuries.

Authorities managed to put out the fire, but traffic in the area remained flow for some time afterward.
