LISTERIA OUTBREAK LEAVES ONE PERSON DEAD
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK (March 12, 2017) – Health investigators are trying to get more information about a listeria outbreak that killed a resident on Connecticut and left at least 3 other people injured.
The death in Connecticut has been linked to a contamination that took place at a creamery in New York.
The Vulto creamery began contacting customers that purchased the Outlet cheese sample. Retailers that carry the brand have already begun removing it from their stores.
State officials have said that Whole Foods grocery stores in Connecticut have recalled the product form their stores.
Symptoms for the illness may not show up for several weeks after a person has contracted the illness. There is no word yet on how many stores may have been affected by the outbreak.
