BRONX, NEW YORK (February 25, 2017) – A 17-year-old pregnant girl was tasered by police after they came across two young men fighting in a hallway, according to the Gothamist.

A number of officers attempted to arrest her and she can be seen screaming out in the video that she is pregnant.

The NYPD Patrol Guide informs officers that they should not use a taser on children, elderly people or pregnant women.

Tasers have been known to kill people. According to the Washington Post, at least one person per week dies after being tasered by police.

The police initially came to the apartment building where the incident took place after an unrelated report of an asthma attack.
