QUEENS: Construction Worker Killed In Freak Accident Between Forklift And Van

FREAK ACCIDENT WITH FORK LIFT KILLS CONSTRUCTION WORKER

QUEENS, NEW YORK (February 24, 2016) – A construction worker at Napa Auto Parts was killed in a freak accident with a forklift and a van, according to NY Daily News.

The construction worker was apparently operating the forklift and put the machine in neutral. He then got in front of the machine and it rolled forward pinning him next to the van.

Authorities have been able to identify the worker that died as Rakesh Ram. He was rushed to the Elhurst Medical Center, but was later pronounced dead due to his injuries.

It remains possible that the forklift malfunctioned. This will come out after investigators conduct a thorough investigation.
