WOODBURY: One Person Killed In Fatal Car Accident On Long Island Expressway

ONE PERSON KILLED IN MULTI VEHICLE CRASH AFTER CAR HITS GUARDRAIL

WOODBURY, NEW YORK (February 26, 2017) – One person has been killed after a multi-vehicle crash on the Eastbound lanes of the Long Island Expressway, according to Pix 11.com.

The identity of the person that was killed has not yet been released. One of the vehicles appears to have struck a guardrail which they ejected a passenger in the car.

There may be liability on the part of the guardrail manufacturer. Guardrails are designed the mitigate the impact of a crash in order to protect the occupants of a car.

Investigators should examine the structural integrity of the guardrail in order to make sure that there are no problems.

Another person involved in the crash was transported to the Stony Brook Hospital with serious head injuries.
